after deciding that the $600 formal dress isn't adequate to wear to the after party, i've settled on another (much cheaper) which i can trash - or treasure - depending on how it turns out after its been through my creative treatment. i can't even bear to utter, let alone type the name of the store where i bought it, the shame is overwhelming. but seeing as sophie needed to spend some credit in there, i decided to have a stroll around this forbidden store. and what i found was amazing, i must say i'm very impressed. and for just 38 bones, its not much of a burden on me, or my wallet for that matter. sophie calls this dress my 'fairies-on-acid dress' and i must say that she's quite right. but the fact that it came from this store is just too much to bear, so i've set out to recreate it, using sequins, beads and a whole lot of radical to make it my own and not *****'s. and hopefully no one will notice ..
