kudos to swedish blogger caroline for this diy, seeing as most people can't afford to spend US$3684.75 on a pair of impractical thigh-high leather boots with a gatrillion straps and inconveniently placed studs.
instructions are as follows: 1. buy a pair of thigh high boots, ala caroline's boots from scorett (whatever swedish shop that is?) and faux leather 2. cut the leather into strands each 4cm wide and 150cm long 3. fold the straps in half and wrap around the boot (whilst on your leg mind you) 4. add studs 5. voila
